Care and Induction Training

All new care staff must successfully complete an Induction Training course within the first 12-week induction period. This provides nationally recognised training that will form the basis for successfully developing a career in Health and Social Care. Once completed there are many other courses that can be accessed to develop your skills career within the world of Health and Social Care.

At the end of the training you will:
Understand the requirements of the role & responsibilities of the care worker
Know where and how to access your Companies Policies and Procedures and the requirement to work within them
Understand different methods of communication and how to overcome common barriers
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of person centred care
Understand the needs of people with dementia
Understand the importance and limits of confidentiality
Develop awareness of the requirements for accurate record keeping
Be aware of your responsibilities for maintaining safety at work
